Gatim impreuna #deladistanta: Baked Sushi – Canada

Dana locuieste intr-un oras in apropiere de Toronto si este manager la o cofetarie foarte cunoscuta acolo – Stone Crock Bakery. Timpul ei liber il dedica celor 3 copii si pasiunii sale: gatitul. Prefera sa gateasca preponderent vegetarian, folosind multe legume si rareori piept de pui sau angus. Si copiii degusta cu placere legumele, cel mai mic dintre ei fiind vegetarian preferand cruditatile si mancarea simpla.
Si vazand cum gateste Dana, nici nu ai putea sa refuzi…

Este creativa, are idei interesante, platourile ei sunt colorate si frumos aranjate, gateste variat retete din bucataria internationala si improvizeaza in functie de ingredientele pe care le are disponibile. Ca un adevarat chef, as adauga eu.
De cand a plecat din tara in 2003 a luat-o de mai multe ori de la zero si de fiecare data a ales sa mearga inainte indiferent de situatie – cum spune ea: “You must be willing to let go of the life you’ve planned, so as to have the life that is waiting for you!!!!”.
Dar pasiunea ei pentru gatit a ramas constanta si si-a facut din ea o meserie. Stiti vorba aceea “Fa ceea ce-ti place cu adevarat si nu vei mai munci nicio zi din viata ta!”.
Eu ii multumesc ca mi-a acceptat provocarea de a gati impreuna #deladistanta si poate ne vom mai reintalni candva tot in mediul virtual, pentru mai multe retete.
Reteta care ne-o propune azi este Baked sushi – Sushi la cuptor si trebuie sa recunosc ca este o varianta interesanta de sushi care se prepara usor acasa de catre orice gospodina. Cred ca umplutura de surimi se poate inlocui si cu alte ingrediente gen somon afumat sau vegetale in functie de gusturi. De abia astept sa il incerc si eu.

Sushi cu surimi la cuptor

Ingrediente:

– 2 cani de orez pentru sushi (400g)
– 3 cani apa (600g)
– 100 ml otet de orez
– 1 lingurita sare
– 1 lingurita zahar
– condimente furikake (contine susan boabe, nori maruntit si sare)
– 1-2 foi de alge (depinde de lungimea tavii)
– 500 g surimi tocat marunt
– 250 g smantana
– 250 g maioneza
– putina maioneza picanta
– o tava dreptunghiulara termoizolanta

Mod de preparare:

Fierbeti orezul in apa la foc foarte mic timp de 10-15 minute. Cand este gata fiert, adaugati otetul amestecat cu sare si zahar si omogenizati bine.
Amestecati pasta de crab cu smantana si cu 3/4 din maioneza.
Incingeti cuptorul la 220 grade Celsius.

Orezul se intinde in tava, apoi se presara furikake, se intind foile de alge deasupra, apoi amestecul cu pasta de crab.
Deasupra se presara din nou furikake, restul de maioneza si putina maioneza picanta si se da la cuptor timp de 5-10 minute pana se rumeneste.

Se serveste cu wasabi, ghimbir marinat si sos de soia. Enjoy!

The recipe she proposes to us today is Baked sushi and I must admit that it’s an interesting variant of sushi that is suitable for home cooking by any woman. I think that surimi filling can be replaced with other ingredients such as smoked salmon or vegetables depending on tastes. I can’t wait to try it too.

Baked sushi

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of rice for sushi (400g)
  • 3 cups water (600g)
  • 100 ml rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • furikake spices (contains sesame seeds, crushed clouds and salt)
  • 1-2 sheets of seaweed (depending on the length of the tray)
  • 500 g surimi finely chopped
  • 250 g sour cream
  • 250 g mayonnaise
  • a little spicy mayonnaise
  • a rectangular tray

Method:

Boil the rice in very low heat for 10-15 minutes. When it is ready, add the vinegar mixed with salt and sugar and mix well.
Mix the crab pasta with the cream and 3/4 of the mayonnaise.
Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius.

Spread the rice in the pan, then sprinkle the furikake, spread the seaweed sheets on top, then the mixture with the crab paste.
Sprinkle the furikake, the rest of the mayonnaise and a little spicy mayonnaise on top again and bake for 5-10 minutes until golden brown.

Serve with wasabi, marinated ginger and soy sauce. Enjoy!
